Guidelines
Contrasting Accents
Known on the colour wheel as a Triadic colour scheme. These are made up of hues equally spaced around the colour wheel. For example red, blue, and yellow, or orange, purple, and green. These pairings are loose guidelines when building out your look and can be adjusted based on the colour you’re focusing on.
Triadic colour palettes will give your outfit a more diverse feel and open up your options for experimentation without getting too crazy. The idea is to keep your colour selections evenly spaced out to avoid running the risk of mismatching and losing harmony.
This guideline applies to those of you with medium to high contrast between your hair, eyes and skintone as these combinations help to create a vibrant and contrasting look.
