Known as Analogous colours, this is pairing colours that sit next to each other, up to 2-3 adjacent colours on the colour wheel. They work seamlessly together to ensure your outfit hues align perfectly. They blend well because they’re so similar to each other but often lack contrast, particularly helpful for those of you with a medium to lower contrast in your look as these combinations will never overwhelm you.
The key to analogous colour combinations is to start off with your base colour. Choose one dominant colour and then bring in the neighbouring colours (one is often a supporting colour and another a used as a little accent) to give your look a sense of consistency without making it feel boring.
