Colour Guidelines | Click on image/title for more info
Work it ...
- You can combine neighbouring colours;
- Peacock and Cornflower
- Pair a neutral with a brighter accent for a little contrast.
- Pewter with Apple Green
- The brighter and lighter shades are best near your face
- You can wear two light colours together, but in general, aim to incorporate at least one brighter colour into your outfit.
- If you wear a medium to darker shade, contrast it with a lighter shade rather than a deep one.
- If you wear just one colour, ensure its light to medium in depth.
- Black is not in your palette, if essential, wear sparingly, preferably below the waist in a sheer, light fabric.
- Your black alternative is Light Navy | Pewter | Medium Grey
- Patterns need to be gentle and delicate, such as watercolour and floral textures, floral drawings, hand-drawn elements, and brush strokes. The elements of the pattern should be small, dense, and loosely arranged.

Don't do it ...
- Two dark colours are overpowering
- Avoid darker colours head to toe, or near your face as they drain you
- Avoid neutrals-only combinations as these will look dull on you
- Colours with a warm undertone
- Overly bright, neon colours
- Black, Dark Navy and Dark Browns
- Patterns | avoid stiff, geometric, ordered arrangements or big elements

Jewellery
Jewellery is best kept light to match your delicate colouring rather than deep and rich. Metals can be shiny, brushed, or matt, but avoid antiqued or oxidised finishes that will darken the metals too much.
- Diamonds | 9kt or 14kt Light Gold | White Gold | Silver | Platinum | White Pearls
- Cool hued gemstones in colours similar to your palette | Pale Rose Quartz | Tourmaline | Topaz | Turquoise | Opal | Aquamarine | Amazonite | Emerald | Jade
Hair
Your hair will always be a natural ash or platinum blonde, and as you get older always go lighter with your highlights rather than darker. Ensure you a keep cool undertone to them.
Glasses
Always choose a frame that is in a colour or metal from your palette. A mix of light shades, pastels or clear work especially well for you, but avoid darker shades.

Makeup
Light & Cool makeup is fresh and delicate, with little contrast. The best makeup looks are those that repeat your natural characteristics. Avoid strong or deep colours as they will make you look overly made up.
What is required is minimal eye makeup and a gently coloured lip. Your palette is gentle but colourful; which means your makeup looks can get quite colourful too. Use similar tones to those in your palette with a cool undertone, warm ones one will drain you.
- Neutral eyeshadows such as cream, browns and greys. When choosing eyeshadows, opt for sheer finishes. Accent colours in pastels such as Lavender Bliss, Opal, Eau de Nil or a lilac tinged Dusk look delicate. Alternatively try the more colourful purple, blues and turquoises, just don’t let them get too bright or dark.
- A Marine Blue, Teal, Amethyst or Granite eyeliner really bring out the colours in your eyes
- A soft Navy mascara keeps your look light, pure Black can be too heavy for your colouring.
If you like a bronzer, opt for a lighter one with a pinkish undertone, do not over-apply, keep it delicate. - Keep your blush light, a gentle Candy or Marsala.
- For lipsticks you only need a little brightness, opt for a matt finish, nothing too glossy or too shiny. A light pink lip in Soft Mauve or Sheer Silk looks elegant.
- For a more dramatic look choose from the deeper berry and pink colours to liven up your lips like Cerise or Strawberry.
