Work it ...
- For you, with your high contrast, the more unusual the combination, the more striking.
- Some depth contrast can be created by pairing the lightest and darkest of one colour:
- Light Aqua with Chinese Blue. (Warm your blues up further with gold accessories.)
- Try high colour contrast which may work even better for you:
- A neutral with a bright accent colour, like a neutral Coffee Brown with Purple or Mahogany with Chinese Blue
- For depth or colour contrast combine just accent colours:
- Mint with a Light Evergreen (depth contrast) or Bright periwinkle with True Red (colour contrast)
- Don’t be afraid to combine opposite colours on the colour wheel:
- Lapis and Clear Salmon
- In general, always aim for at least one bright colour in your outfit.
- The brighter and lighter shades are best near your face.
- One colour is trickier, if you do, make it one of your most vivid.
- Mid to later life you may change to a COOL as your hair turns to grey or white.
- As your natural colouring is highly contrasted, opt for bold, clear patterns with higher contrast between the elements rather than ones which blend too much.
- Great patterns for you are geometric patterns or round and rectangular shapes mixed together. Abstract prints and hand-drawn elements are also good. Elements should be bigger and not too dense.

Don't do it ...
- Colours with a cool undertone
- Avoid muted tones
- Icy, frosty colours
- Two lights or two darks together
- A single colour on its own
- A monochromatic look
- Avoid neutrals-only combinations
- Patterns | Avoid small elements, very loose and very dense arrangements and natural floral patterns. If necessary, opt for stylised flowers.
Jewellery
Jewellery is best bright and shiny, polished finish. Matt finishes will clash with your naturally bright colouring. As a Clear & Warm, Gold looks amazing but is not the only metal that works for you. You can mix and match more easily than other palettes.
- Gold | Rose Gold (peachy) | White Gold | Silver | Platinum
- Gemstones in colours from your palette | Sapphire | Topaz | Emerald | Turquoise | Amethyst
Hair
Hair tones are from brown, to deep dark brown and black. You may have golden or copper highlights. Keep the base of your hair dark, use two to three shades of warm toned lowlights if you want to enhance your natural colour and don’t be tempted to go blonde. If you eventually go grey or white, your dominant palette may change to Cool.
Glasses
All the metals mentioned can work for glasses frames, as can any of the colours in the palette. Colourful, bright or dark frames are especially wonderful on you, as is a touch of sparkle. Make sure the lenses are non-reflective so your striking eyes remain visible.

Makeup
Your makeup as a Clear & Warm is at its best when it’s highly contrasted, colourful and bright. The vibrancy of your colouring and clarity of your look needs to be replicated in your makeup. Choose contrasting shades and clear bright tones. A natural look on you is a glowy and intense look rather than a no makeup look. It’s important to use at least one bright colour in your makeup as this is what will bring out your natural level of contrast. This is best achieved through lipstick. What is required is a bold lip paired with defined eye makeup.
- Neutral eyeshadow colours are the Creams, like Champagne; Peach, Greys, Steel and Storm; and Taupes. You can easily wear dark eyeshadow, but don’t go too dark and avoid muddied soft colours.
- For highlight and accent eyeshadow colours, opt for the brighter and more colourful colours on your palette. Darker Pinks, Purples, Blues and Greens look particularly nice. Delph, Purple, Midnight, Peppermint.
- Make sure to avoid eyeshadows with very matt finishes, as those might dull your appearance, use a cream shimmer or add a highlight over the top.
- Eye liner wise, anything darker than Granite might look too heavy on you. Instead, opt for brighter colours, Teal, Marine Blue, or Amethyst.
- A Black-Brown mascara is perfect for you, or a striking Navy.
- Bronzer and shimmer highlighter enhance your look.
- Your blush will need warmth to it, a pinky, a peach or coral like Salmon.
- The best lipstick colours for you are intense. Gloss also works well. All types of peach, coral and pinks. Warm Pink, Coral, Red Velvet, and Cerise. They may seem bold but will look very natural on you due to the natural intensity of your appearance. Avoid dark, cool colours such as burgundy and plum. These would clash too much with your warmer complexion.
- A Dramatic look can be achieved by intensifying your lips with an even brighter lip colour, or you can go for a smoky eye. But don’t make it too dark, as this would overwhelm you.
