Soft & Light
YOUR LOOK IS COOL AND SUBTLE
Your palette has a gentleness and delicacy, and like your natural appearance blends rather than contrasts. Your colouring combines coolness with a softness and your stunning colours are cool with a blue undertone. From softer pastels to the brighter colours, your best colour combinations for outfits are those that complement each other or that have medium contrast.
Adding your tertiary palette of Light, means your overall look is elevated with colours towards the lighter end of the scale. These make wonderful additions to your wardrobe.
Personal style will also always influence how you wear your clothes and the colour combinations you prefer.

Colour Guidelines | Click on image/title for more info
Work it ...
- You look best in medium to deep colours.
- Combine Accent colours in similar depths.
- Sky blue with Soft Violet.
- If you want to incorporate neutrals into your outfits, choose a neutral and accent colour with similar or slightly different depths.
- Combine a lighter neutral like Rose Beige with a brighter, similar depth accent such as Rose Pink.
- Or pair a darker neutral with a brighter, similar depth accent.
- Charcoal with Cassis.
- You can achieve more contrast through combining neighbouring colours, as long as they have the same depth.
- Blue-Green and Amethyst.
- One way to achieve a gentle contrast is through similar depth monochromatic colour combinations.
- Pair a slightly lighter and darker shade of the same colour, such as a light Sky Blue and a slightly darker Cornflower Blue.
- Due to the natural gentleness of your appearance, neutrals will never make you look washed out or boring, but be sure to combine them with a brighter, similar depth accent colour.
- Great patterns for Cool & Soft are gentle but not too delicate – such as watercolour and floral textures, floral drawings, and brush strokes. Since your natural colouring has medium contrast, opt for patterns that reflect this contrast level rather than ones which are too bold. The elements of the pattern should not be too small and should be loosely arranged.

Don't do it ...
- Colours with a warm undertone
- Neon colours
- A neutrals-only look
- Extreme contrast – pairing colours that sit opposite each other on the colour wheel.
- Patterns | avoid ordered arrangements, small and dense elements, and stiff geometric patterns.

Hair
Cool hair tones have a huge variety from pure white, to grey, to cool dark brown and ebony, also salt and pepper. There are no natural highlights, and the hair is either neutral or ashy. If you are ash blonde you will grey gracefully, but keep the tones of highlight ash or platinum based. For dark hair try plum and burgundy lowlights. Your hair may eventually become a grey, silver or pure white.
Glasses
Always choose a frame that is a colour, or metal (brushed, hammered or satin) from your palette.

Makeup
As a Cool & Soft your colours are not only cool, but quite muted and medium depth. Cool and understated, but always with a pop of colour! A natural look on you is a gentle, dewy look. A pink or nude lip, delicate skin with a fresh blush and subtle, light eyeshadow is perfect.
- Your neutral eyeshadows are the whites, greys and taupes on the colour palette. For highlight eyeshadow colours, opt for the pinks, plums, blues and greens on your palette like Opal, Damson, Midnight and Peppermint.
- When selecting eyeshadows, opt for a matt finish or a slight shimmer, avoid glitter and sparkly eyeshadows.
- Make sure to blend your eyeshadows in really well. Harsh lines are not best for your blended look.
- Marine, Teal, Granite, Aubergine or Amethyst eyeliner really bring out the colours in your eyes.
- A striking soft Navy would look lovely, or a Black-Brown mascara.
- Instead of golden bronzer (which will not enhance your colouring as you do not want its warm tones) opt for a lighter one with a pinkish undertone, and apply delicately. Alternatively swipe a little cool toned highlighter to your cheeks instead, it will add some wonderful shimmer.
- Your blush will be a cool pinkish or purple based colour, try Shiraz or Candy.
- Your best lipsticks are pink or plum coloured with matt or shiny finish, Soft Mauve, Dusty Rose or Sheer Silk. Sparkle or gloss can easily be too much on you.
- For a more dramatic look you can choose a slightly deeper pink or berry shade like Sheer Fuchsia to liven up your lips. Add a smoky eye in a grey Steel or Storm.
