YOUR LOOK IS DEEP AND STRONG
Your colours are wonderfully deep, but lighter colours in the palette enable you to create high contrast combinations by pairing light with dark. By repeating this contrast naturally present in your appearance, you look radiant.
Personal style will also always influence how you wear your clothes and the colour combinations you prefer.

Colour Guidelines | Click on image/title for more info
Work it ...
- Depth contrast with colour contrast is especially flattering on you. A neutral with an accent colour.
- Pair a light neutral in one colour with a different dark accent colour, such as Stone with Burgundy.
- You can also combine a darker neutral with a brighter accent colour, such as Black-Brown and Emerald Green.
- For depth or colour contrast combine just accent colours.
- Royal Purple with Turquoise (depth contrast)
- or Damson with Blush Pink (colour contrast)
- An all-dark look works for you especially with striking accessories in an accent colour.
- If you wear one colour, ensure its dark or vibrant.
- For balance, wear the strong dark colours near your face.
- If your lighter colours are near your face, balance the look with deeper/stronger coloured makeup and accessories.
- Though your contrast is high, it’s not extreme, so take care pairing colours that are in stark contrast- opposites on the colour wheel can be overwhelming.
- Paler shades can wash you out, they will look better worn with dark or bright colours.
- Mid to later life you may change to a SOFT or COOL as your hair turns lighter.
- Great patterns for you are bold, highly stylised forms of natural elements. Geometric shapes with round or rectangular shapes mixed together work well, and elements should be big and loosely arranged.

Don't do it ...
- Two light colours together
- Light and frosty colours
- Muted colours
- A monochromatic or neutrals-only look
- Patterns | avoid stiff geometric, small and dense patterns. Natural floral patterns are not your best choice, if necessary, the flowers should be highly stylised, as in paisley and oriental patterns.

Jewellery
Jewellery can be matt or shiny, a great way of adding contrasting colour. Use gemstones in colours from your palette.
Hair
Your hair will always be a brown through to deep dark brown. Depending on your undertone you may want to add high or lowlights that are either warm or cool. As you age your hair may become lighter and this can change your palette to a Soft or Cool.
Glasses
Always choose a frame that is a colour, or metal from your palette. You can mix two or more deep shades or contrast light and dark tones. You can go quite dark with the tortoiseshell. (Avoid pastels)

Makeup
Your Deep look is naturally intense, and high in contrast; so to achieve a harmonious makeup look, you need to repeat these natural characteristics in your makeup. A typical ‘natural’ or nude makeup look won’t work on you. The look for you works when the focus is on just one area of your face. Balance your strong, rich colouring with both lighter and dark shades together.
- Keep your makeup colours to a minimum of one or two colours per look. Since your makeup colours are also quite bright, too many different colours could leave you looking overdone.
- For a daytime look, keep your lips in the background. Focus on highlighting the eyes with some mascara and perhaps an earthy eyeshadow instead. You can mix all dark shades successfully, but avoid the very light, delicate colours.
- Neutral eyeshadows such as Beige, Browns Gold and Greys, with accent colours similar to those in your palette. When choosing eyeshadow, opt for a more matt or slight sheen in the finish. You can also wear metallic eyeshadows, particularly in the deeper colours. Avoid glitter finishes.
- An eyeliner is a must – and will help define your eyes.
- Black mascara works well, but try Black-Brown, which keeps a little warmth with the depth of Black. Navy looks striking too.
- Your blush will need depth to it.
- Highlighters do not enhance your look, you’re all about lowlights.
- To frame your face, use a little bronzer.
- Lipstick wise opt for matt finishes or ones with some shimmer like our Sheer lipsticks. Avoid lip gloss and too much shine.
- For more dramatic looks, you have can either intensify the smokey eye look with deep, metallic eye shadows and keep your lips nude, or put your lips centre stage keeping your eye makeup clean and simple with neutral eyeshadow and some mascara.
- Your lips can be dipped into one of your dark lipstick options to make them the focus of your look.
