Colour Guidelines | Click on image/title for more info
Work it ...
- A great way to achieve a little contrast is by pairing a neutral with a brighter accent.
- Try combining neutrals with brighter accent colours:
- A darker neutral – Rose Brown with Peach
- A lighter neutral – Cream with Blush Pink
- Combine neighbouring colours on a colour wheel:
- Primrose Yellow and Apple Green
- You can wear two light colours, but in general, always aim for at least one bright colour in your outfit.
- The brighter and lighter shades are best near your face.
- If you wear a medium to darker shade, contrast it with a lighter shade rather than a deep one.
- If you wear just one colour, ensure its light to medium in depth.
- Black is not in your palette, if essential, wear sparingly, preferably below the waist in a sheer, light fabric.
- Your black alternative is Light Navy | Rose Brown | Pewter
- Accessories and shoes can help lighten your look.
- Great patterns include small and dense prints of dotty, busy, creative, and rounded shaped geometric patterns. Also, delicate natural elements such as flowers, butterflies, and birds.

Don't do it ...
- Two dark colours are overpowering
- Avoid darker colours head to toe, or near your face as they drain you
- Avoid neutrals-only combinations and monochromatic looks, as these will look dull on you
- Overly bright colours
- Colours with a cool undertone
- Pure White, Black, Dark Navy and Dark Browns
- Patterns | avoid stiff, and square geometric arrangements or big elements
Jewellery
Jewellery is best kept light to match your delicate colouring rather than deep and rich. Metals can be shiny, brushed, or matt, but avoid antiqued or oxidised finishes that will darken the metals too much.
- Light Gold (9kt or 14kt | Rose Gold (light tones)
- Diamonds (smaller, inset) | | Cream or Pink Pearls | Mother of Pearl
- Warm hued gemstones in colours from your palette | Amazonite | Coral | Turquoise | Opal | Jade
Hair
Your hair will always be a natural blonde, with a strawberry or golden hint to it. As you get older always go lighter rather than darker. As a Light & Warm ensure you keep a warm undertone to your hair.
Glasses
Always choose a frame that is in a colour or metal from your palette. A mix of light shades, pastels or clear work especially well for you, but avoid darker shades.

Makeup
Light & Warm makeup is with light and fresh colours, delicate with little contrast. The best makeup looks are those that repeat your natural characteristics. Avoid strong or deep colours as they will make you look overly made up. You can be colourful though.
- Sheen, gloss and a bit of sparkle work magic on a you! Your palette is gentle but colourful; which means your makeup looks can get quite colourful too.
- What is required is minimal eye makeup and a light, nude lip. Use similar tones to those in your palette with a warm undertone, cool ones will drain you. For instance, you can create a natural makeup look with a pale peach lip, a dash of taupe eyeshadow and add a little bit of mascara.
- Neutral eyeshadows such as cream, gold, grey-green and browns, with accent colours similar to your palette, the gentle pastels such as Melon, Peach, Pinks and Blues. When choosing eyeshadows, opt for creamy, sheer colours. Avoid bright colours as they will overwhelm you.
- A Coffee, Marine Blue, Teal or Moss eyeliner will really bring out the colours in your eyes.
- A Warm-Brown or Black-Brown mascara keeps your look light, pure Black can be too heavy for your colouring. A soft Navy can be striking.
- If you like a bronzer, opt for a lighter one with a peachy undertone, do not over-apply, keep it delicate.
- A light, peach-pink or coral blush is best for you, just a little and lovely with a shimmer.
- Lipsticks that are creamy or sheer achieve a natural and delicate result. Opt for Chiffon, Sheer Copper or Spiced Peach. A gentle, but colourful sheen. Gloss also works for you, try Warm Sand.
- To dramatise your look, you don’t need bright or dark lipstick. Aim for a gentle but colourful lip look, a Coral lipstick or Mango gloss and slightly more eye makeup. A dark lip combined with heavy eye makeup is too heavy for you.
